A coyote is free after having a plastic jug stuck on its head for at least a week. Plastic Packing
The coyote has been captured on numerous cameras in the western Waukee neighborhood. Area residents tell KCCI they were worried about the coyote, which has grown thin after being unable to eat.
"It was running around with a huge clear jar on its head, and a lot of us felt really bad about it," Shirley Andre said.
Police officers and Animal Control officers were able to leash the coyote and take the jug off its head.
Waukee Police say if you see a coyote, don't approach it, call your local Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator. You can find their contact information on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website.
